Dear Patients

As you will be aware, there is a significant crisis taking place within Primary Care, this is predominately due to increased and growing patient needs, complex health issues and a national widespread GP recruitment problem.

We pride ourselves that during and immediately post COVID, Tavyside remained resilient, adapting and creating a service that drew on telephone and online consultation systems, enabling our clinicians to consult with a larger on the day triaged requirement, whilst still providing face to face appointments if needed.

We are now in a position where our clinical day structure requires some immediate changes, this is largely due to the current clinical workload, a shortage of doctors and a serious shortage of temporary locum doctor cover, we must ensure we protect our team from working excessive hours at the expense of their own health and wellbeing.
You will notice some immediate changes to our systems from next week, and some changes which will take place over the coming months. There will be a return to the provision of some bookable face-to-face appointments, but a small reduction to on the day access.

Please be reassured that your health and wellbeing remain our top priority, Tavyside remain committed to the provision of a safe accessible health care service for all our patients.

Kind regards

Sarah Evans, Practice Manager on behalf of the Partners of Tavyside.
