
Patients, who are on long term medication, may order a new prescription without making an appointment to see their doctor each time. However, your doctor will still want to see you on a regular basis and you will be told how often you should be reviewed.Your computerised prescription slip will contain a reminder if you need to make an appointment before the next repeat prescription.
When you need a repeat prescription you can either:
We have a pharmacy on the premises to dispense your medication or you can of course take the prescription to any other pharmacy of your choice. Please allow 48 hours for your prescription to be completed.
Some patients can get free prescriptions. there are various reasons for this. for more information and to see if you are eligible please ask at reception for a HC11 booklet.
Anyone who has to pay and gets more than 4 prescription items within 3 months or 14 prescription items within 12 months, could save money with a pre-payment certificate (PPC).
You have the option of buying a certificate for three months or twelve months.

Sure Start Children's Centre are places where families with children under 5 years old can access services and get help and support.

Tavyside Health Centre has its own dedicated Pharmacy (within the Health Centre), supplying and assisting you with all your prescription and medical requirements.

The third floor of Tavyside is home to a state of the art Conference and Training Centre, which can be hired for all your Conference and Training needs.
