Most of our appointments, whether routine (non-urgent) or urgent, are booked using our telephone triage system. Please do not be surprised when our reception team ask for a brief outline of the problem, this is to safely prioritise, and helps book you into the appropriate appointment slot. It may mean that they can refer you to a pharmacist, nurse or healthcare assistant for advice.

For an on the day appointment, we would recommend contacting us on 01822 613517 at 08:30, Monday to Friday. The reception team can book you into a GP call back slot for that day, these slots can go fast, therefore we advise calling as close to 08:30 as possible. We would also highly recommend completing one of our online contact forms, found here. As long as this is submitted before 16:30, a member of staff will contact you the same day. 

Nursing Appointments

All nursing appointments are available via telephone or face-to-face. If you need to book a non-urgent nursing appointment, please call after 11:00. 


We are open alternative Saturdays for pre-booked appointments only. We do not accept incoming calls on a Saturday. 


Tavyside does not operate a routine walk-in service. If your matter is urgent, please either contact us via telephone, attend a local minor injuries unit or in life threatening situations, dial 999.

If we need to see you, we will book you into an on the day slot.
