Out of Area Policy

All organisations are required to have agreed a boundary with their commissioner. Anyone residing within this area is entitled to apply to register for primary medical services and the organisation boundary must be clearly advertised to patients on the organisation’s information leaflet and/or website.

Unfortunately, we do not accept patients who are registered outside our Practice boundary. Our boundary can be found below.

We understand that some of our patients reside outside our immediate area, often due to historical connections with previous partners who are no longer with the practice. However, recent changes in healthcare structures mean that referrals for certain community services are now based on a patient’s registered GP practice location.

Unfortunately, this can lead to delays and even rejections of referrals if the service area doesn’t cover your current address.

To ensure seamless access to these vital services, we kindly request that you register with a GP practice closer to your home address. This will allow you to benefit from the full range of community support available in your local area.
We understand this may not be your preferred option, and we value the connection you have built with our practice. However, we want to ensure you have access to the most efficient and comprehensive care possible.

You can find a new GP here – Find a GP – NHS (www.nhs.uk)

We appreciate your understanding and continued trust in our practice. Please don’t hesitate to contact us at [phone number] or reply to this letter if you have any questions or require assistance with the transfer process.
