More about Dr Westcott
Dr Westcott grew up in Cornwall before moving to Birmingham for university. After spending five years away, she returned to the South West to complete her hospital-based training at Derriford. She joined Tavyside in 2020 for the final year of her GP training and, upon qualifying, chose to stay on as a salaried GP. In 2022, she became a partner at the practice. Alongside her clinical work, Dr Westcott takes on several additional responsibilities, including supervising trainees, leading on Quality and Outcomes initiatives, and serving as the PCN education lead.
Dr Westcott says, ”Tavyside is a fantastic surgery with a dedicated, caring staff team who work incredibly hard for our patients. I love working alongside them to ensure the best possible care to our patients and local community. We are also forward thinking and are constantly striving to advance our practice which keeps us all constantly learning – something I really enjoy.”
Outside of work, Dr Westcott loves spending time outdoors exploring Dartmoor and travelling around the world. Recent trips have included visits to Kenya, Japan and Norway. She volunteers with a local Girlguiding Guide group and enjoys singing and playing the piano to relax.
Clinic Timetable for Dr Westcott

*Disclaimer: Although GPs may appear to work only part of the week, this does not indicate they are not working full time. A full-time equivalent is defined as 37.5 hours per week, and a GP working three days a week often meets this requirement. Additionally, GPs frequently work beyond regular hours to address emails, patient correspondence, professional development, and attend multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
