Dr De Silva is one of our GP Partners at Tavyside Health Centre.
Dr De Silva is the Practices Prescribing Lead and ensure overall compliance of the prescribing of medicines at both Tavyside and Lifton Dispensary.

Dr De Silva first joined Tavyside in 2019 as a GP registrar under the expert mentorship of Dr Robbins. He was delighted to return to Tavyside in 2021 as a salaried GP, before joining the Tavyside Partnership in 2022.
Dr De Silva says, “Its a privilege to be able to work for patients across our special community – a place I’m grateful to be able to call home-and to be part of the dedicated Tavyside team.”
Outside of work Dr De Silva enjoys gardening, wondering Dartmoor, and most importantly fussing over his cats.

*Disclaimer: Although GPs may appear to work only part of the week, this does not indicate they are not working full time. A full-time equivalent is defined as 37.5 hours per week, and a GP working three days a week often meets this requirement. Additionally, GPs frequently work beyond regular hours to address emails, patient correspondence, professional development, and attend multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
